QUESTION: I wanted to place an ad so I began to register as a new advertiser. After I filled out the form and clicked continue...a message in red popped up. It said "Sorry, Your User Name is already taken". What's up? ANSWER: You have previously submitted your "Advertiser Contact Information" and are already set up with an account. Login as a "Returning Advertiser" with your user name and password to access your account. If you forgot your user name and password have it emailed to you.
Question: I have been trying to enter my information on the "New Advertiser Contact information" screen and everytime I hit the continue button it comes back that the red asterick areas are missing but I have filled them in. What am I doing wrong? You must have placed an ad before. Your contact info is being rejected because you already have an account. Try the " Forgot your login?" it will email you your user name and password.
Question: I forgot my user name and password so I could not login to my account. Used the Forgot your login? feature. However, after putting in my email address this is what popped up on the screen--We're sorry, the e-mail address provided is not in our systems. What do I do now. Answer: You must have changed your email address or entered another email address other than the one you used when you created your advertiser account. Many people have two or more email addresses so try a different one that you might have. Now if you still can not access your account send a note to Paul including your area code and phone # and state you are located in. Contact Paul
Question: I was unable to upload a photo. What might be the problem? Answer: First use only JPG, GIF or PNG files. The largest problem in uploading photos is that the file is too big. Try resizing the photo, then uploading it. Sometime the file name is a mile long. Try shortening it then upload. If you have Windows XP here is resizing help. It's a free Image Resizing tool you can download that works with XP. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/learnmore/tips/eschelman2.mspx
Are your updates current?Throughout the life of operating systems and applications companies will provide periodic updates to address both security vulnerabilities as well as bug fixes. It is very important that as computer users we apply these updates on a regular basis. If you neglect to apply security updates your computer may be vulnerable to exploits which may allow remote users on the Internet to either take remote control of your computer and/or steal personal data from your computer. Bug fixes are equally as important as these updates will ensure that your computer operates both efficiently and accurately. Bugs in operating systems and applications may cause applications not to operate correctly or crash.
